What are the sculptures made of? I use solid steel round rod mainly. It comes from about 1/8" to 1/2". I also use sheet metal in 16 or 20 gauge.. How do you ship your products? I use the US Postal Service for the bulk of shipping. I also use Fedex when a sizeable or heavy object must be shipped. Unless instructed differently I ship Parcel Post or Ground. These are the least expensive ways normally. After I place an order, how long does it take to receive it. Well that depends. I do keep items in stock but that gets harder to do certain times of the year. Between 3 and 30 days normally. Paint curing time slows the whole process by several days. If I have to build an item then it goes on the list. I have more and more pieces in stock so shipping can be done faster. You need to ask. Some items ship the same day they are ordered. Speaking of sculptures, do all the pieces have to be painted black? No. You can have any or no colors. You can even paint them yourself after you receive it. How Long Do They last outside? If I know that they will hang outside before I build the piece I will paint with multiple coats and then clear cote over all that. I get between 2 to 3 years. Keep in mind that direct sunlight kills paint. A shady area will lengthen the life of the paint. I can also have the sculpture powder coated. Which is probably the best. It is VERY expensive though. Why is shipping so high? The shipping will only be high on items that are longer than about 40". Small pieces like horseshoe sculptures ship for about 9.95 anywhere in the US. (meaning 48 states). Of course Hawaii, Alaska, and the islands will all have to be quoted. |
